At MyCityMerch, we offer two convenient options to ensure you can get your hands on your favorite items: pre-orders and back-orders.
Pre-orders allow you to reserve products before they are officially released. By placing a pre-order, you guarantee that you'll be among the first to receive the item once it becomes available. This is perfect for highly anticipated releases or limited-edition products that you don't want to miss out on.
On the other hand, back-orders come into play when an item is temporarily out of stock. If you place an order for a back-ordered item, we'll reserve it for you and ship it out as soon as it's restocked in our inventory. This way, you can secure your desired product without having to constantly check back for availability.
Both pre-orders and back-orders ensure that your chosen items are reserved specifically for you, ready to be dispatched as soon as they become available. We understand the excitement of waiting for a special purchase, and we work diligently to process and ship these orders as quickly as possible.
Pre-Order and Back-Order Billing
When you place a pre-order or back-order with MyCityMerch, your payment method will be charged approximately one to two days before your item is ready to be dispatched. From the moment you make your purchase until your order is shipped, you'll notice an authorization hold for the total amount of your order on your payment method. This authorization guarantees that the funds are available and reserved for your purchase.
If your order contains a mix of in-stock items and pre-ordered or back-ordered items, you may see separate charges on your account, reflecting the actual merchandise that has been shipped. Please note that if you choose to pay using PayPal or Venmo, the payment will be captured immediately at the time of purchase, in accordance with their payment policies.
Shipping Your Pre-Orders and Back-Orders
When you pre-order or back-order an item from MyCityMerch, we'll provide you with an estimated stock date, giving you an idea of when to expect your purchase to ship. As soon as the item becomes available, we'll promptly process and dispatch your order. While shipping timelines may vary depending on the product and your location, rest assured that we always strive to deliver your items as quickly as possible.
If your order contains both in-stock and pre-ordered or back-ordered items, we'll ship them separately to ensure you receive your available items without delay. The best part? You won't incur any additional shipping fees for these split shipments. To keep you informed every step of the way, we'll send you tracking details for each parcel, allowing you to monitor your order's progress and anticipate its arrival.
Canceling Pre-Order or Back-Order
We understand that plans can change, and you may need to cancel your pre-order or back-order. The ability to cancel will depend on the current processing stage of your order.
